Role Overview As an Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Technician you support PSA Airlines' growth by carrying out aviation repairs and services that keep operations on time. You execute maintenance procedures in compliance with the Federal Aviation Regulations and company standards to ensure safe and reliable flights. Key Responsibilities Perform the tasks necessary to comply with the Federal Aviation Regulations, accept responsibility for work performed alone or together with others, and sign for it on the company's approved forms. Carry out all phases of aircraft repair and maintenance using your own tools, speciality tools provided by the company, test equipment and company-supplied technical manuals. Initiate the proper documentation at the start of each repair or inspection; parts tags must give a complete description of the discrepancy on all removed parts; determine whether the work is a Required Inspection Item. Verify through proper documentation that any part installed on an aircraft or component is approved for it and has been visually inspected and is free of damage or contamination. Where authorised, perform Required Inspection Items and assist in company training programmes. Keep work areas clean, return all equipment and tools to their assigned areas, and report inoperative or faulty equipment to the Maintenance Supervisor or Lead Mechanic in charge. Keep hangar workshops and other assigned areas in an orderly condition. Support the company's Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and the associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs. Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor through the Lead Mechanic. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Valid, state-issued driver's licence. Able to use respirators and other personal protective equipment, including eye and hearing protection. Must hold or be able to obtain a U.S. passport or equivalent within 90 days of starting the position. Must be able to speak, read and write in English. Must be able to demonstrate authorisation to work in the U.S. Licences & Qualifications Required: current FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification. Experience Preferred: previous experience with CRJ aircraft. Additional Information Work environment: the job operates inside a climate-controlled building and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, telephones and photocopiers. Physical demands: the role is largely sedentary, but the employee is regularly required to talk or hear and frequently required to stand, walk, climb up and down stairs, lift weight up to 25 lbs, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. Security clearance: all employees must pass the fingerprint-based criminal history records check (CHRC) per 49 CFR 1542.209.
