Job Description

Our Client is seeking an Intermediate Systems Testing/QA Specialist to support testing activities across large-scale enterprise applications, including on-premise systems, web applications, mobile platforms and cloud-based integrations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and executing test scenarios, test cases and scripts, managing defects, validating system functionality and supporting quality assurance throughout the SDLC.

Key Responsibilities

• Design detailed test scenarios, test cases and test scripts based on business requirements, user stories and project objectives.
• Execute functional, integration, regression, system, usability and User Acceptance Testing.
• Test web-based, mobile, cloud and on-premise applications.
• Analyze test results and document defects, discrepancies and recommendations.
• Manage the full defect lifecycle using QA and defect-management tools.
• Prepare and maintain test data to support validation of business processes.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers and project stakeholders throughout testing cycles.
• Support API testing and accessibility/AODA testing where applicable.
• Develop automated test scripts and frameworks as required.
• Support continuous improvement of QA processes across Agile, DevOps and traditional project environments.
• Produce testing status reports, defect reports and quality assurance documentation for stakeholders.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of experience testing large-scale enterprise applications.
• Experience testing on-premise, web, mobile and cloud-based solutions.
• Strong hands-on experience with functional, integration, regression and UAT testing.
• Strong experience executing test cycles, analyzing results and managing the full defect lifecycle.
• Experience with tools such as OpenText ALM, OpenText Octane, JIRA, X-Ray and Confluence.
• Strong understanding of SDLC.
• Experience working in Waterfall, Agile/Scrum and Hybrid delivery environments.
• Ability to analyze business requirements and user stories and translate them into test scenarios and test cases.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills and understanding of business processes, information systems and web UI design.

Automation Testing Experience

Experience with automated testing tools such as:

• Micro Focus / OpenText UFT
• TOSCA
• Selenium
• Cucumber
• Serenity BDD

Candidates should be comfortable developing or maintaining automation frameworks and scripts when required.

Nice to Have

• Software Quality Engineering certification or equivalent.
• API testing experience.
• AODA/accessibility testing experience.
• Testing experience with AI-based solutions.
• ServiceNow testing.
• Salesforce testing.
• SAP testing.
• Public-sector experience.
