Job Description

We are looking for experienced and responsible part-time English teachers to provide high-quality private English lessons for young learners and school-age students in Shanghai.

The lessons may include phonics, graded reading, speaking practice, vocabulary building, storytelling, picture book reading, schoolwork support, presentation practice, and basic academic English support, depending on each student’s age and learning needs.

Responsibilities:
1. Provide engaging and structured English lessons for children/adults.
2. Prepare suitable lesson activities based on the student’s level and learning goals.
3. Help students improve speaking confidence, reading ability, pronunciation, vocabulary, and classroom communication skills.
4. Give brief lesson feedback after each class.
5. Maintain professional communication and punctuality.
6. Follow the learning plan and teaching materials provided by the company when required.

Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree or above.
2. TEFL, TESOL, CELTA or other teaching-related certificate is preferred.
3. Experience teaching young learners or school-age children is preferred.
4. Patient, responsible, punctual, and child-friendly.
5. Able to provide interactive and well-structured lessons.
6. Candidates with experience in international schools, bilingual schools, kindergartens, language centers, or private tutoring are preferred.

Working schedule:
Part-time and flexible schedule. Lessons are usually arranged on weekday or weekends according to student and teacher availability.

Location:
Shanghai. Home tutoring, online tutoring, or other agreed teaching locations may be arranged depending on the student’s needs.

Compensation:
RMB 350–2000 per hour, depending on teaching experience, qualifications, lesson type, and student requirements.
