Production Pipe Welder

We are seeking an experienced Production Pipe Welder to join our steel manufacturing team in Decatur. This position is responsible for welding steel pipe and components according to company and customer specifications while maintaining high standards for quality, safety, and productivity.

Production Pipe Welder Details:

• Temp-to-Hire position
• $19.03 / hour
• Full Time work available
• Second Shift ( Monday through Friday from 01:00pm to 10:00pm )

• Perform MIG, TIG, and Arc welding on steel pipe and related components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, specifications, and production drawings.
• Prepare materials for welding, including measuring, cutting, grinding, and fitting. Inspect welded joints to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Operate welding, cutting, and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform visual inspections and verify dimensions using measuring tools.
• Repair weld defects as needed. Meet daily production goals while maintaining quality workmanship. 

Production Pipe Welder Qualifications:

• Previous pipe welding experience required.
• Experience in a steel manufacturing or fabrication environment preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols.
• Knowledge of welding techniques, procedures, and safety practices.
• Experience using hand tools, grinders, torches, and measuring equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
