Overview

Our client is undertaking a large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation and is seeking an experienced SAP Infrastructure & Cloud Integration Architect to serve as the bridge between SAP, cloud, infrastructure, and enterprise operations teams. This individual will ensure SAP is successfully integrated into the broader technology ecosystem, supporting operational readiness, resiliency, observability, disaster recovery, and enterprise support processes.

This is not a SAP functional, development, or Basis administration role. The focus is on infrastructure architecture, cloud integration, SAP RISE, SAP BTP, AWS, enterprise operations, and platform integration. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience supporting modern SAP cloud-hosted environments and understand the challenges of integrating SAP platforms into complex enterprise landscapes.

Project Environment

The organization is implementing SAP S/4HANA on RISE as part of a broader modernization initiative led by Deloitte. The SAP landscape must integrate seamlessly with existing enterprise platforms, cloud services, operational processes, and legacy systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead infrastructure architect supporting SAP S/4HANA on RISE and SAP BTP initiatives.
• Design architecture patterns that integrate SAP into enterprise cloud, infrastructure, monitoring, and support environments.
• Partner closely with SAP, cloud, infrastructure, security, networking, and operations teams to ensure alignment across platforms.
• Define and implement operational readiness, support, monitoring, and incident management strategies for SAP workloads.
• Architect solutions that integrate SAP with enterprise observability and monitoring platforms.
• Develop disaster recovery, resiliency, and business continuity strategies spanning SAP, AWS, and interconnected enterprise systems.
• Establish integration patterns between SAP, MuleSoft, Databricks, ServiceNow, and legacy platforms.
• Drive infrastructure readiness planning and operational support models prior to production deployments.
• Define monitoring, alerting, logging, and observability requirements for SAP and related cloud services.
• Ensure SAP environments align with enterprise ITIL processes, including incident, problem, change, and service management practices.
• Create architecture standards, operational procedures, and technology roadmaps supporting the SAP ecosystem.
• Work alongside Deloitte and internal stakeholders to accelerate infrastructure and integration workstreams throughout the implementation lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture, cloud architecture, or enterprise architecture.
• Hands-on experience supporting SAP S/4HANA environments, particularly SAP S/4HANA on RISE.
• Strong understanding of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and enterprise integration patterns.
• Experience integrating SAP cloud environments with enterprise infrastructure, operational processes, and support organizations.
• Deep AWS architecture and cloud operations experience.
• Strong understanding of hybrid enterprise environments including:
  • AWS
  • VMware
  • Windows Server
  • Linux
  • Enterprise networking and security
• Experience designing disaster recovery, resiliency, and high-availability solutions.
• Strong understanding of observability, monitoring, alerting, and operational support models.
• Experience working within ITIL-based service management frameworks.
• Ability to communicate effectively with SAP-focused teams as well as infrastructure, cloud, and operations stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP RISE migrations, operations, or cloud-hosted SAP environments.
• Experience integrating SAP BTP with enterprise platforms and legacy systems.
• Familiarity with:

  • Elastic
  • Enterprise integration platforms
• Experience supporting large-scale ERP transformation or modernization programs.
• Experience working in highly regulated or complex enterprise environments.
• AWS certification or comparable cloud architecture credentials.
