QualificationsGraduate of an accredited sonography or radiography program.
Additional Qualifications:
Organized, efficient and multifunctional. Ability to work independently. Requires excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrates effective communication. Ability to work varied hours, shift lengths and respond to an on-call pager which may include days, evenings, nights, holidays and weekends .
Ultrasound Sonographer experience preferred.
License or Certifications:Registry-eligible candidates must be ARDMS registered in either Vascular Technology (RVT) or RDMS (Abdominal or OB/GYN) within 6 month of employment (RVT preferred first) and both RVT and RDMS within 12 months of employment.
Third certification (Abdominal or OB/GYN) completed within 18 months of employment.
Employees that provide breast imaging are required to obtain RDMS (Breast) certification within 24 months of achieved competency.
Employees hired for a role specific to vascular sonography, who are not eligible to apply for Abdomen and OB/GYN certifications, are exempt from the requirement of obtaining these registries.
BLS certified.
